POLFISH – International Fair of Seafood Processing and Products
FOODEXPO – Food and HoReCa Fair
MILKY REVUE – Dairy Fair / co-funded under the Polish Milk Promotion Fund

DELICIOUS FAIRS
170 exhibitors from 15 countries, crème-de-la-crème of Polish manufacturers, processors and importers of seafood, leading dairy companies, 5,000 trade visitors, scientific seminars and seafood straight out of food trucks. These are the figures which sum up the successful POLFISH, MILKY REVUE and FOODEXPO trade shows in Gdańsk.

POLFISH—The only one of its kind in Poland!
The POLFISH International Fair of Seafood Processing and Products is one of CEE’s largest and Poland’s only specialised trade fair for the seafood industry with a large-scale presentation of seafood products, machines, equipment, packaging, cleaning agents, specialised vehicles and services. It is also a place where business talks are held and valuable relations are established. This is where raw seafood suppliers meet processing companies and seafood product makers meet wholesalers and chain store buyers. This significant potential has been recognised by the Eurofish International Organisation, which invited its member countries to participate in the specially organised POLFISH Business Platform.

From all over the world
Next to leading Polish and international seafood product manufacturers, the exhibitors included governmental export promotion agencies from all over the world: the ProChile Commercial Bureau with 10 companies, the Norwegian Seafood Council, Poland’s Ministry of Maritime Economy and Inland Waterways (Department of Fisheries) and the Agency for Restructuring and Modernisation of Agriculture (ARMA), which promotes applying for EU funds under the Fisheries and the Sea Operational Programme. The fair was also attended by science institutions: the National Marine Fisheries Research Institute (MIR), the West Pomeranian University of Technology Szczecin (Faculty of Food Sciences and Fisheries) and associations of seafood product manufacturers and farmers.
POLFISH provides highly valued trade conferences and seminars. The Embassy of the Kingdom of Norway to Poland organised the Norwegian-Polish Aquaculture Forum for fish farmers and potential investors; the subjects included innovative Norwegian technologies used in land-based fish farming. EcoTerm and Carrier Transicold Polska organised the Responsible. For. Freshness Pomeranian Transport Refrigeration Forum for businesses interested in goods supply in the sensitive refrigeration chain.

The Marine Stewardship Council (MSC), which celebrates its 20th anniversary worldwide and 10th anniversary in Poland, invited its partners to take part in a seminar on the success stories and challenges of the MSC sustainable fisheries certification (an MSC blue label on a package confirms that the seafood comes from sustainable and well-managed fisheries).
POLFISH was also incredibly delicious! The Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute (USA) served wild salmon snacks straight from a seafood truck and the Warsaw-based Pan Karp (Mr Carp) Fish Promotion Society served carp. And how! Straight from the Carp Van.
Over the three exhibition days, POLFISH had 5,000 trade visitors from 31 countries. The largest groups came from Poland, Belarus, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, France, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Turkey, the UK, Ukraine and the Faroe Islands.

FOODEXPO - for the first time!
FOODEXPO is the largest food and HoReCa fair in northern Poland. It is the place to establish contacts with manufacturers and suppliers of products, equipment and furnishings for the HoReCa business and find inspiration from the trends on show. FOODEXPO was primarily addressed to professionals: the owners and managers of HoReCa businesses, catering companies, bakeries, patisseries, ice-cream parlours, food stores and wholesalers, supermarket and discount store chains, as well as cooks and chefs, food and nutrition technologists.

The premiere edition of the FOODEXPO Food and HoReCa Fair took place alongside the 18th MILKY REVUE Dairy Fair. The exhibitors included leading Polish dairy producers: the brands Maluta, Jogo, Cuiavia, Lacpol and dairy cooperatives from Września, Wartkowice, Czarnków, Strzałkowo and Wieluń.

Dietary trends
A special programme for healthy lifestyle enthusiasts was prepared by Akademia Skutecznej Diety (Successful Diet Academy), with an opportunity to analyse body composition and mass, one-on-one consultations with a dietician, a series of seminars on hot topics: alternative diets, sugar, fat and salt dependence and dietary trends in the food and HoReCa industry.
